Former Plymouth Argyle striker Ashley Barnes charged with swig driving

Former Plymouth Argyle striker Ashley Barnes has been charged with quaff driving.
The 31-year-old, who currently plays for Premier League aspect Burnley, was stopped by police in the early hours of Tuesday, May 11, after theirwin at Fulham the previous evening.

Barnes was a belated stopgap in the win at Craven Cottage and was pulled over by Cheshire Police near his Wilmslow home at around 3am and subsequently charged with swallow driving.
Burnley confirmed Barnes, who played 22 times for Argyle, will be the issue of an private investigation.

Cheshire Police said: “At around 3am on Tuesday, May 11, officers stopped a ominous Mercedes V2.
“The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man, was arrested at the vista on uncertainty of quaff driving.
“Ashley Luke Barnes, of Wilmslow, was subsequently charged.”
